Former GFA boss, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe believes age-cheating is one of the main problems facing Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars.
His comments follow Ghana’s early exit from the AFCON in Cameroon, where the Black Stars failed to win a single group game.
Speaking in an interview with Citi Sports, the veteran football administrator said, the Ghana Football Association must do well to address the situation.
“Me personally, I think our main problem at the moment is age cheating.” He said
“Most of our players are overaged, a player who is 30 plus definitely is burnt out.
“If you watch the tournament carefully, those who have those who have relatively younger than we do.
“To me, that is what the GFA should watch carefully at, if you want a boy that is 15, let him be 15, don’t tell us he is 18.
