The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has warned clubs in the Ghana Premier League to only appoint head coaches with License A certificates or face sanctions.
In a statement published on Tuesday, the GFA said it has released the list of CAF Licence A holders who are qualified to serve as head coaches for Premier League clubs.
The GFA’s Technical Directorate, led by Bernard Lippert, with support from the Director of Coach Education, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, held refresher courses last year for License A and B holders to, among other things, train them on modern coaching trends.
98 coaches completed the course for the License A certificate while 101 completed the License B refresher course.
The GFA warned that Premier League clubs who have head coaches without License A certificates on the bench for matches would be sanctioned.
Division One clubs were also warned that only persons with License B certificates could serve as their head coaches.
