Ghana’s women U-20 football team, the Black Princesses, are through to the last round of qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup after they hammered Uganda 5-0 in a second leg fixture at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
The win completes a 7-1 aggregate drubbing of the East African side, following a 2-1 away win in the first leg a fortnight ago.
Ben Fokuo’s side will now face Ethiopia in the last round of qualifiers for one of Africa’s two slots in the tournament to be staged in Costa Rica in August 2022.
Captain Evelyn Boadu opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before Abdul Salamatu made it 2-0 before the break.
Back from recess, substitute Jafaru Rahama made it 3-0 before Doris Boaduwaa bagged a late brace to wrap up the victory over the Young Crested Cranes.
