Ghana’s play-off match against Nigeria in the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers will be played on March 24, 2022, and March 27, 2022, CAF has confirmed.

The first leg will be hosted in Ghana at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday March 24, 2022, before the Black Stars travel to Abuja to face the Super Eagles three days later.
The winner over the two legs will book one of Africa’s five tickets for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, to be hosted in Qatar.
A win for the Black Stars will be the fourth time they will be making an appearance at the global showpiece, having missed the 2018 edition.
Ghana and Nigeria have a rich history of rivalr and have played against each other 49 times. Ghana has recorded 21 wins, 10 defeats to the Super Eagles and recoded 18 draws.
