Ghana Premier League side, AshantiGold, were victims of a failed armed robbery attack on their way back to Obuasi from Accra on Sunday night.
The Miners, who suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium against Hearts of Oak on Sunday night, had their bus’s bullet proof glass to thank after robbers attacked at Assin Endwa.
According to a release from the Ghana Premier League side, the armed robbers ambushed the bus, firing three gunshots at their vehicle, only to be repelled by the bulletproof glass.
The club confirmed that no individual on board the bus was injured in the attack.

The team is now safe at their base in Obuasi.
