A Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has slammed Cape Coast-based referee Kennedy Padi who officiated the biggest fixture on Ghana Premier League’s calendar.
A former President of the Ghana Football Association, Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe classified Kennedy Padi as “very useless” when he reacted to the happenings in the game at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Accra Hearts of Oak suffered a painful 1-0 defeat for the first time at Baba Yara Sports Stadium since 2012 when Michael Akuffu got a last-minute strike to win the game that afternoon.
The Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak was of the view that no penalty should have been awarded to Fabio Gama inside the penalty area of the visitors.
He further explained to the fans of the club that in no time, foreign referees would be invited to officiate big matches in the Premier League.
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe told Angel TV in Accra on a Monday morning after the big game that, “the referee today was very useless. If this is the level of officiating we are going to witness from our referees, we will call for foreign referees for games like this. There was no penalty there to take.”
He was forced to retract an allegation made against the referee last Sunday afternoon but he refused to do so since he was confident that Kennedy Padi took a bribe from Dr. Ogum before the kick-off to the gigantic game.
