Casemiro completed a switch to struggling Manchester United and the Spanish giant made an official announcement on the club’s official website.
Real Madrid C. F. and Manchester United reached an agreement on the transfer of Carlos Henrique Casemiro on Friday, August 19, 2022.
“Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and appreciation to Casemiro, who is part of the club’s history,” a statement deduced from the official website of Real Madrid, indicating Casemiro is now out of the plans of the Spanish champions.
A caption of the official announcement further indicated that on Monday, August 22, at 11:30 am (CET), an institutional act of tribute and farewell to Casemiro will take place at Real Madrid City, with the presence of the club’s president, Florentino Pérez
He has won 18 trophies while playing for Real Madrid, including 3 Spanish Super Cups, 1 Copa del Rey, 3 LaLiga championships, 5 European Cups, 3 Club World Cups, and 3 UEFA Super Cups, on an individual level, he was named Best Player of the UEFA Super Cup final, which he won a few days ago in Helsinki, and he has been nominated for the 2022 Ballon d’Or, so he deserves to be recognised.
Real Madrid expressed their congratulations and best wishes for Casemiro as he moves on to his new club, according to the announcement, “Real Madrid is and always will be his home, and we wish him and all his family the best of luck in this new chapter of his life.”
The Brazilian, who still takes delight in joining Manchester United amidst the club’s current challenges, expressed his appreciation to his former club, Real Madrid, on his Twitter handle.
