Prince Nana Kwesi Darmang, a former TP Mazembe midfielder, has been signed by Hearts of Oak on a free transfer, the 24-year-old was introduced after he signed a three-year contract after the conclusion of the medicals.
After leaving DR Congo team TP Mazembe, he is making a comeback to the Ghana Premier League, his most recent club was Don Bosco.
Before travelling to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in search of better opportunities, he played for Tano Bofoakwa in the Division One League.
The signing of Prince Nana Kwesi Darmang, the MTN FA Cup Champions midfielder, is scheduled to be confirmed in the coming days.
The midfielder, born on February 7th, 1998, has not featured in any league game for TP Mazembe since joining the club in the 2019/20 season but did feature in the CAF Confederation Cup when TP Mazembe played against Ismaily.
On March 23, 2018, he made his first transfer to TP Mazembe, and on August 1, 2019, he made his second transfer to Don Bosco.
He will join the team in their preseason training and looks fit to be featured in the Super Cup match between Hearts of Oak and Kotoko, which has been rescheduled to September 5, 2022.
As a new member of the Phobia brotherhood, he joins Konadu Yiadom, Eric Ofori Antwi, Junior Kaaba, Hassan Ouatching, and others.
Before Prince left Ghana for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he was a member of a group of 21 players that were requested to appear before the GFA Player Status Committee at the FA’s Secretariat on Thursday, 8th of March, 2018.
In 2018, after Gladson Awako, Kissi Boateng, Yaw Frimpong, Daniel Nii Adjei, and Solomon Asante were all removed from the team by TP Mazembe, they relied on Prince Nana Kwesi Darmang to take their place after he had been registered by Accra Hearts of Oak.
