On September 1st, 2022, at 11 p.m. BST/6 p.m. ET, the summer transfer window for the Premier League, Serie A, LaLiga, Bundesliga, and French Ligue 1 came to a conclusion.

Osman Bukari has been outdoored at his new club.

The media stayed aloof and attentive to be updated on the signings of players by teams on the last day, and the major headline after the deadline was Chelsea acquiring Gabon marksman, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Other nations’ transfer windows, including Mexico’s, will close in September 2022 on September 5 and on September 8 for Russia and Turkey. Portugal will get the final window in September on September 22.

The supporters in Ghana are anticipating the technical staff to disclose a likely list of players to begin preparations for the Mundial, thus the disciplined and committed team of editors at www.atspo.com have collated Otto Addo’s men who switched sides during the European transfer window.

Since Otto Addo’s criteria for choosing players for the World Cup event would mostly depend on players who are playing competitively for their respective clubs, week in and week out, some Ghanaian players have gone in pursuit of more consistent playing time in order to make the team.

After signing a long-term contract with Jose Mourinho’s side in July, the 19-year-old Afena-Gyan signed a four-year deal with the newly promoted Serie A club on August 30, 2022, the 19-year-old Ghanaian striker became the second most expensive signing in the history of his club.

The player switched to his new club for a deal worth 6 million + 3 million add-ons, which he happened to be the next Ghanaian player to play for Cremonese after John Mensah played for them in 2005.

Gideon Mensah has agreed to a three-year deal with AJ Auxerre of French Ligue 1, the Ghanaian defender, who played for Bordeaux during the 2021–2022 season, is now back in France.

Gideon Mensah is back in the French League.

The player, after joining his new club, spoke to Lawrence Baidoo of Joy Sports, and he said, “Obviously I have goals and I have targets. In Ligue 1, you need to play 30 games to be an official player. So since that didn’t happen with Bordeaux, I want to do it now. I want to play as many of the games as I can to make myself an official Ligue 1 player and also get more assists and good games, get playing.”

Osman Bukari, who spent the previous season on loan with French Ligue 1 team FC Nantes, joined Serbian top flight club Red Star Belgrade from KAA Gent during the current transfer window. In 26 games across all competitions, Osman scored two goals and recorded four assists.

Osman celebrates after he scored from a thunderbolt strike.

At his new club, he has featured in five games and has scored five goals making him Ghana’s in-form player in Europe with four goals in six appearances for his new club, he crowned it with a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League qualifier.

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, a Ghanaian international, joined SC Freiburg this summer after departing from FC St. Pauli, where he scored 43 goals in 67 games. He’ll participate in the Europa League next year.

Other Ghanaian players like Richmond Boakye Yiadom signed for Greek side PAE Lamia on a free transfer for the new season, Benjamin Tetteh signed a two-year contract with Tigers with an option for an extra year, Edmund Addo left Moldovan giants FC Sheriff and joined Serbian champions Crvena Zvezda, and Mubarak Wakasu completed the list as he joined KAS Eupen on the final day of the window.
