The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Mark Addo, who also serves as the Black Stars Management Committee chairman, has praised coach Otto Addo for his exemplary coaching ability.
Mark Addo, Ghana Football’s versatile administrative asset, has responded to allegations levelled against him by a Management Committee Member, Alhaji Karim Grusah, regarding evaluating the current head coach of the Black Stars.
After the two friendlies in September, Ghanaians and other soccer experts were not impressed with the Black Stars of Ghana’s style of play. They failed against Brazil and came out on top against Nicaragua.
In an interview with Odiasempa of the Happy FM Sports crew, the outspoken club president, Alhaji Karim Grusah, tagged Mark Addo as a travelling bird, hinting to Ghanaians that the Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee is not always available in Ghana to assess the performance of coach Otto Addo.
Grusah stated, “If Mark Addo does not have time for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), he should resign. He is always abroad and doesn’t have time for the job. Mark Addo is always travelling and doesn’t have time to call for meetings. We don’t even meet, I will commend Mr. Kwesi Agyemang, he always listens, but Mark Addo is not always in Ghana. If he doesn’t have time, he should resign. “
The discerning editors at www.atspo.com can clarify to their devoted followers that an authoritative report obtained from the Association’s authorities expresses great dissatisfaction with Alhaji Grusah for not taking adequate action against the FA rather than airing his complaints on the radio.
The Chairman of the Management Committee has expressed his concern with the head coach’s performance and dismissed Alhaji Grusah’s comments as “noise.”
In an interview with Peace FM, Mark Addo stated, “I don’t listen to those noises, the reason being that you can’t judge a person by one game. The coach admitted his mistakes, and it’s a mark of outstanding leadership.”
