Aziz Haruna Futah, a former Accra Hearts of Oak management member and current Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has highlighted two management members who are highly dishonest to the club.
Haruna Futah’s outburst and accusations made to the club’s fans as they prepare to play in the second leg of their CAF Champions League match, believes two management members are unreliable.
Alhaji Braimah Akanbi and Vincent Odotei Sowah were specifically mentioned by the outspoken former Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee (NCC) deputy Aziz Haruna Futah as the team’s current dishonest leaders.
On Tuesday morning’s mid-morning sports programme, he had a phone interview with Moshosho, the host of Asempa FM Sports Show, during which he referred to the club’s management as the worst management team’s history.
The former management member maintained that firing previous head coach Samuel Boadu prior to the team’s CAF Champions League match was not in the club’s best interests and that the choice to accuse the two management members in question of dishonesty was necessary.
Aziz stated, “The club needs people who are loyal and love the club with all their hearts and will make the best decisions for the club, but for now I can say this is the worst management ever.”
The host of the sports programme drew reference to a statement made by the board chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, in which he claimed that the two management members in question are his confidants in the club’s administration and had aided him ever since he was appointed to the position.
Haruna was in a hurry to reply to the statement made by Moshosho, and he explained, “I have once worked hand in hand with the Board Chairman. They (Alhaji Akanbi and Vincent Odotei Sowah) are the darling boys of Togbe Afede XIV. As a board chairman, you need darling boys that will whisper to you when something happens in the club, people that are loyal to you. This is the angle I see the two management members. They are loyal to him (Togbe Afede XIV), but they are not loyal to the club. “
