Mohammed Alhassan, the deputy captain of Accra Hearts of Oak, has confessed that the entire squad is under pressure to qualify for the next round on Sunday, October 16th, 2022.
In the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, Accra Hearts of Oak, the continental club champions of Ghanaian football, are slated to host their Malian opponent.
To advance to the next round, the 21-time defending champions of the Ghana Premier League must erase a 3-0 deficit from the first leg, according to reliable defender Mohammed Alhassan.
Mohammed Alhassan can get a boost in exposure on the continent because he was a key member of the Black Galaxies team that qualified for the CHAN Tournament that will be held in Algeria.
In an interview with Radio Gold in Accra, he discussed the club’s numerous stakeholders in an effort to encourage the playing group to overcome the 3-0 defeat they suffered in Bamako.
The playing body is under pressure to qualify, according to Konadu Yiadom’s teammate Mohammed Alhassan, who was paired with him in the away game. He also acknowledged that it is not a simple task.
He told Muftawu, the host of Radio Gold Talk Sports, “When talking about pressure, the pressure is not on me alone, it is on the team. Because it’s not easy to turn a 3-0 goal over to qualify, it’s not easy. And the supporters are looking forward to us turning that margin around.”
The former captain of West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) emphasised that even though the task ahead is very difficult, he was certain the players will put in an effort to provide the heart’s desire of their supporters and management.
Mohammed Alhassan stressed, “But it’s not going to be an easy task. If I say it’s going to be an easy task, I’m lying to you, but we are going to put in everything possible. We are going to do our best to give the supporters and our management what they are looking forward to. “
