The Chairman of the supporters of Accra Hearts of Oak, Elvis Herman Hesse of the National Chapters Committee (NCC), has been in police custody since the late hours of Monday, October 17, 2022.
The sensitive and competent team of editors at www.atspo.com can confirm on authority that following a verbal altercation at Accra Sports Stadium, Vincent Odotei Sowah filed a police complaint.
A section of the fans in attendance at Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday versus Real Club de Bamako was not pleased with the team’s performance, especially because the fans’ favourite coach, Samuel Boadu, was present to inspire confidence in the team.
Some famous figures, including Herman Hesse, were pictured criticizing the duties of some Board Members, notably Alhaji Akambi and Vincent Odotei. Herman Hesse, the chairman, was alleged to have threatened Vincent Odotei.
Unidentified supporters punctured Vincent Odotei’s car tyres, prompting him to be taken hostage by police at Accra Sports Stadium after their game against Real Club de Bamako. The two Board Members were said to have left the stadium in the late hours of Sunday night.
After their team failed to qualify, the National Chapters Committee (NCC) planned a press conference. They won their first game of the season in all competitions after scoring a goal.
A number of police officers were readily available to accompany the chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak supporters to the police headquarters ahead of the National Chapters Committee (NCC) press conference.
According to the information obtained, Board Member Vincent Odotei filed a police report alleging that the supporters’ chairman was responsible for the damage to his car tyres last Sunday, and he angrily assaulted the Board Member, but the pair had to be removed at some point by eyewitnesses.
The official handle of the supporters’ Twitter account stated their press conference was cancelled due to Herman Hesse’s arrest.
The Phobia Bird had a caption on their Tweet at 3: 38 pm, “The National Chapters Committee (NCC) chairman has been taken by the police department and hence the press conference won’t come off. Odotei did this…”
