The Ghana Premier League resumes this weekend, and several clubs have reacted to its reinstatement following the lifting of the injunction by the Human Division of the Accra High Court.
Michael Osei, the head coach of the Bibiani Miners, will battle Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday at Accra Sports Stadium.
The Bibiani boys approach the away game with the ambition to win their second BetPawa Premier League away game since qualifying for the league.
Accra Hearts of Oak have won their past two games against Bibiani Gold Stars, and on Saturday at Accra Sports Stadium, they will aspire for a third straight victory under their newly recruited Serbian strategist.
Accra Hearts of Oak were knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup by Malian side AS Bamako, and will now compete for the BetPawa Premier League with Kumasi Asante Kotoko to qualify for CAF competitions the following season.
Although Michael Osei was defeated by newly promoted team Nsoatreman in his most recent BetPawa Premier League away match, he has planned to frustrate Accra Hearts of Oak at Accra Sports Stadium and get the maximum three points.
Accra Hearts have yet to claim victory in the BetPawa Premier League this season, but they are hoping to do it by following the new manager’s instructions.
Slavko Matić is inexperienced in the BetPawa Premier League, therefore Michael Osei said in an interview with Radio Gold Talk Sport that his team is travelling to Accra Sports Stadium to frustrate him to deliver all the points to Bibiani.
Michael Osei told Muftawu Adamu, the host of Radio Gold Talk Sports, “We were already prepared, we were training, and we didn’t go for a break during the suspension [of the league]. Whether it’s early or it’s not early, we need to go for the game. We are coming to Accra to play Hearts of Oak, the team that is one of the best in the league. “
He stated that they will frustrate the home team for the points when asked to forecast the final score of the game.
Michael Osei stressed, “We have to prepare very well, psychologically, physically and mentally because it’s a game that we have to be tactically disciplined so that we can frustrate them and get the points and come back to Bibiani.”
