Kofi Kordzi, a former striker at Accra Hearts of Oak who joined Legon Cities at the start of the 2022-2023 BetPawa Premier League, has sent a cautionary warning to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
In Week 7 of the current season, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the striker will play in the Royals’ colours against Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the BetPawa Premier League champions.
Since Kotoko lost 3-1 at home to Legon Cities the previous season, the challenge already appears to be demanding. The striker causes extra issues for the management, spectators, and players of the Porcupine Warriors.
After Accra Hearts of Oak terminated his contract, Legon Cities signed Kofi Kordzi, who was uniquely identified by Legon Cities when they tagged the bulky striker as “Aveyime Drogba” on their official Twitter handle.
Kofi Kordzi, who has yet to score a goal for Legon Cities in the BetPawa Premier League, has hinted that he will win because he is a member of Maxwell Konadu’s team that will face Kotoko in Week 7.
Last season, the former Phobians attacker appeared in 22 games and scored seven goals. He hasn’t scored a goal in the BetPawa Premier League since January 16, 2022, when he scored twice against Eleven Wonders.
Since joining Legon Cities, he has participated in five league games for the Royals, appearing in all of them without scoring; in those five games, Legon Cities has lost just once, to Aduana Stars, and has drawn once, against Berekum Chelsea.
Maxwell Konadu’s Legon Cities team has played three away games with two wins and a draw this season, making them one of the best-performing teams in away games this season.
Kofi Kordzi has been sighted refreshing his official Twitter account, @KKordziOfficial, revealing what he has been designed for ahead of the BetPawa Premier League clash with the defending champions.
Kofi tweeted with the caption, “I am not designed to come second or third. I am designed to win.”
