The final match of week 17 of the 2022–2023 season, which was played on Monday, February 13, 2023, concluded the first round of the betPawa Premier League.
Nine games were played between February 10th, 2023, and Monday, providing exciting statistics.

While Tamale City held firm at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium to deny Umar Abdul Rabi his third win before the league’s first round ended, Medeama sought their third straight victory against newcomers.
After losing to the Bibiani Gold Stars in November 2022, Annor Walker went undefeated in six games at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi. Even when the head coach was in charge of the Black Galaxies in Algeria, Samartex FC was undefeated. In the first round of the season, they defeated Legon Cities 2-1 to win their fourth.
Nsoatreman maintained their dominance at Nana Konamansah Park, extending their unbeaten streak after falling to Accra Hearts of Oak on December 20, 2022. After defeating Great Olympics 2-1 in week 17, the Nsoatre-based club is the best-performing team at home with seven wins, a draw, and a loss.
Jimmy Cobblah needed to bounce back after losing his previous home game to Medeama, and they did so with a solitary goal against visitors, putting them in 16th place on the league table after the first round. Real Tamale has lost five consecutive away games.
Karela United has gone three games without losing at home and is undefeated in their last five contests. Following his appointment as the team’s head coach when their season was in the dumps, Shaibu Tanko has saved the Aiyinase boys. At Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Week 17, Karela defeated Kotoku Royals in their BetPawa Premier League debut by a score of 2:1.
Karim Zito and Dreams FC, after losing to Aduana Stars in their last game at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, scored two goals against Seydou Zerbo’s Asante Kotoko, which made them lose two successive away games and extended their winless streak to six games at away venues. Aholou Avocevou from Benin and Agyenim Boateng Mensah scored to give their team the win.
The Accra Lions and Bibiani Gold Stars drew 2-2 in the final match of week 17 of the betPawa Premier League, which took place at Accra Sports Stadium. Bibiani Gold Stars have scored six goals in their last two away games, and they are now third in the league table after drawing at home.
