In an interview with BT Sport, Jürgen Klopp indicated that his team failed to put in a special performance against Real Madrid.
Klopp stated, “If you want to go through, you need a special performance—we couldn’t put in a special performance tonight. The right team went through; that’s what we have to admit. Madrid controlled the game. It’s not what we wanted, but it’s what we got.”
