Jobe Samuel Patrick Bellingham, the younger brother of Jude Bellingham, has finalised a move from Birmingham City to Sunderland.
Jobe Bellingham, a 17-year-old offensive midfielder, signed for Sunderland in the EFL Championship shortly after his senior brother, Jude Bellingham, had completed a move to Real Madrid.
Jobe Bellingham is currently with the England Under-18s, according to extensive reports reaching the editors of www.atspo.com, but Sunderland says the transfer will be completed when he returns from England Under-18 duty.
Both players began their careers in Birmingham City’s academy, and Jobe appeared in the unveiling of Birmingham’s 2020-21 season kit following Jude’s departure to Borussia Dortmund.
The Black Cats have not revealed the length of the contract Jobe Bellingham will sign, nor the fee involved, but elsewhere, Jude Bellingham has become the most expensive English player of all time, with a fee of £88.5 million.
Jude Bellingham expressed his joy at joining his new club after attending Sunderland’s play-off semi-final against Luton Town and agreeing to move to Wearside.
“I’m delighted to sign for Sunderland AFC and I can’t wait to get started. The opportunity for young players to move here and progress is clear, so I believe this is the perfect Club for me to continue my development,” Jobe Bellingham revealed.
Jobe Bellingham, who started his career by accepting a scholarship from Birmingham City and then went on to formally agree to terms on his first professional contract with the soccer team, expressed his appreciation.
“I’m grateful to everyone at Birmingham City for their support over the past 11 years, and I wish them the best of luck as I begin the next chapter of my career at the Stadium of Light,” Jobe said.
