Takyi Arhin, a perpetual admirer of Simeon Kurt-Okraku's administration at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), enlightened George Afriyie following the 29th Ordinary Congress at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology's Great Hall.
The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) provided an overview of the performance of the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council and what the current administration intends to do if they are re-elected by Congress in November 2023.
The President, Mr. Simeon Kurt-Okraku, made huge promises to Congress, which include: ¢300,000 invested into refereeing; Referees will be receiving their fees weekly and tablets distributed; Regional Football Chairmen (RFA) to receive a salary of ¢4000 and pickups to each Regional Football Chairman; investing ¢100,000 into juvenile and colts football; and lots of other pleasing promises.
When Mr. Simeon Kurt-Okraku announced his intention to run for the Ghana Football Association presidency after the first term of his office expires in November, the members in attendance at the 29th Ordinary Congress stood up and applauded loudly.
Mr. Takyi Arhin acknowledged as Thunder advised George Afriyie, who was captured exiting the auditorium when Kurt was giving out his speech to Congress at Great Hall last Monday.
At the conclusion of the GFA 29th Ordinary Congress, Takyi Arhin Thunder, General Manager of Aduana Stars, told Raphael Atakorah of www.atspo.com that Mr. Kurt Okraku deserves another term and George Afriyie should invest in another business venture.
“I will advise George Afriyie to better invest his sums of money allocated for the GFA Presidency into another business; it will be an effort in futility,” Thunder responded to Raphael Atakorah’s question, which was a bit of advice to aspirants to contest in the GFA elections.
