It has been officially announced on the Kumasi Asante Kotoko website (www.scasantekotoko.com) that Mudasiru Salifu is now a member of Al-Bukiryah Football Club.
The midfielder, Mudasiru, came back from being on loan with Moldovan team FC Sheriff Tiraspol and Saudi Arabian team Al-Batin. He had extended his contract with Kotoko before going on loan to Moldova.
Mudasiru Salifu, a workaholic midfielder for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, was very influential during his loan spell at FC Sheriff Tiraspol, appearing in 12 league games as well as the UEFA Europa League.
Mudasiru rose to prominence while playing for FC Sheriff Tiraspol, appearing in the first leg of a Group game at the Zimbru Stadium and the return fixture at Old Trafford.
Mudasiru challenged Bruno Fernandez and intercepted Cristiano Ronaldo one-on-one, and he won 7/2 ground duels in midfield, 2 ball recoveries, and 1/1 aerial duels, for a stunning 100% dribbling success.
Al-Bukiryah FC, a team in the First Division League of Saudi Arabia, has signed Mudasiru Salifu on a permanent deal after he played in 15 games for Al-Batin in the Saudi Pro League last season.
Mudasiru, known for his high levels of enthusiasm and professionalism, which saw him named vice-captain for the 2021-2022 season under Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, will have the opportunity to brighten his career as he is eligible to play against five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
The King’s Cup of the Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF) is set to begin in the upcoming season. There is a chance that Al Nassr Football Club, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, could face off against Al-Bukiryah, led by Mudasiru Salifu.
On Friday, December 6, 2019, Al Nassr defeated Al-Bukiryah in the second round of the King’s Cup at the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Stadium, and most recently, Mudasiru Salifu’s Al Batin lost 3-1 away to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, according to the ever-researching team of editors at www.atspo.com.
