The 2023–2024 season of the betPawa Premier League is scheduled to begin on September 15, 2023, with the official fixtures already released.
Tano Bofoakwa, Nations FC, and Heart of Lions have all been promoted to the Ghana Football Association’s elite competition for the 68th season, with Medeama FC as the defending champions.
The Pride of Brong Ahafo, Tano Bofoakwa, qualified for the Premier League from the Zone One spot; the winners of Zone Two were Nations FC from the Ashanti Region’s Bosomtwe area; the winner of Zone Three in the Access Bank Division One League was Heart of Lions.
The Ghana Football Association released the fixtures on Monday, July 31, 2023, and all three promoted teams will play their first premier league games at away venues, with the most anticipated game involving Kpando Heart of Lions playing away to Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Bosomtwe-based club, Nations FC, will play their first BetPawa Premier League game against Dreams FC at the Dawu Theatre of Dreams in Week One of the season.
Accra Great Olympics will welcome Tano Bofoakwa at the newly adopted Red Bull Arena in Sogakope, as both teams will be playing with experienced coaches in personalities such as Annor Walker and Frimpong Manso.
Other exciting fixtures in Week One of 2023-2024 betPawa Premier League include Real Tamale United (R.T.U.) looking to maintain their dominance over Accra Heart of Oak at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale and an all-Brong Ahafo fixture between Nsoatreman FC and Bechem United at Nana Kromansah Park in Nsoatre, Sunyani.
The 2022-2023 betPawa Premier champions, Medeama FC, will host Accra Lions at Ackoon Park in their quest to defend the league title. Legon Cities, after escaping relegation the previous season, will start the season by hosting Karela United at El-Wak Sports Stadium.
Chelsea will be taking on Bibiani Gold Stars at Berekum Golden City Park, while FC Samartex will host Aduana Stars at Nsenkyire Sports Arena to round out Week One of the 2023-2024 betPawa Premier League.
