Kumasi Asante Kotoko has officially extended a three-year partnership agreement with electronic behemoth Hisense.
The club’s newly constituted Interim Management Committee (IMC) has renewed its partnership agreement for the second time after a continuation with Star Assurance.
The initial collaboration between the two parties began on October 23, 2020, at the AH Hotel and Conference in East Legon, when a deal worth one million Ghana cedis per season for three years was announced.
The two parties have had a friendly working relationship since Hisense fulfilled its end of the bargain. The electronic behemoths offered special prize packages for the goal of the month, a fan of the month, and an amount designated for Legends of Asante Kotoko.
The team announced its decision to renew its partnership with Hisense two days after playing its first home game of the season against Heart of Lions, in which they wore their newly sponsored kit by The Hope Brand.
The IMC maintained the three-year contract that the previous management signed with the electronic company, but this time an undisclosed sum will go to Kotoko, which includes other electronic products.
“Hisense is thrilled to announce the extension of our partnership with Kotoko because we have witnessed the passion, dedication, and hard work displayed by the team,” a statement from Hisense Ghana read.
The electronic titans praised the club’s dedication to achieving a common goal: “Their commitment to excellence both on and off the field aligns perfectly with our brand values. Through this partnership, we have not only seen increased brand visibility but also a strong connection with the Ghana Soccer fan base, which is truly remarkable.”
“As we look ahead to this season, our expectations are high. We believe that the Kotoko team, with its talent and determination, will achieve great success on the pitch.” The top brand in electronics sent the club its best wishes for success in their effort to win back the Ghana Premier League trophy.
