The Save Ghana Football Protest is scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, 2024, with the walk beginning at the Obra Spot at 9:00 a.m. to deliver a petition to the offices of the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Takyi Arhin, the General Manager of Aduana Stars Football Club, has responded to the Concerned Fans of Ghana Football’s intention to march through Accra’s streets to protest the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
In an interview with Agyemang Karikari of New Mercury FM in Kumasi last Friday, the outspoken football administrator detailed how club administrators are pleased with how the President of the Ghana Football Association manages the association’s affairs.
“Most club owners in Ghana and football administrators are mindful of the good works of Kurt Okraku at the association. Anyone calling for Kurt Okraku’s resignation is not a football person or a club owner; he has managed the local league very well, which has prompted me to pursue the acquisition of a Division 1 team in Ghana,” Thunder told Agyemang when asked if Kurt needed to resign.
Thunder responded to the protesters by quoting the Bible: “My people perish due to a lack of knowledge.”
