The fearless and zealous Ghanaian centre back Alexander Djiku has gained lot of attention on social media after a pleasing performance for Black Stars to qualify for Qatar ahead of Super Eagles.

A gallery of his images together with his family was all over social media after showcasing his defensive prowess when he was tasked to man mark Nigeria dangerous striker Victor Osimhen, at Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Mooshood Abiola Sports Stadium respectively.

Ghanaian and French descent, Alexander Kwabena Baidoo Djiku made history in the French Ligue 1 last weekend when his team Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace won against Lens at Venue Stade de la Meinau in game week 30 of the league.
Djiku surpassed a record set by Black Stars captain and former Olympic Marseille forward Adrew Ayew, an appearance of 182 was achieved by the captain but it has been broken by young and already well-known centre back Alexander Djiku.
Djiku has now featured in 183 league games when he got a spot in the starting lineup for his club over the weekend, he continued his superb performance displayed in the play-off games during the International break in the game last weekend.
The administrators of the French Ligue 1 always set up a formidable team at the end of every weekend after all games have been played in the country, they did same after this weekend’s league fixtures came to an end.

There were no doubts that Alexander Djiku had a role to play in the best eleven players in the French Ligue 1 last weekend, obviously he deserves to play in the centre of defense of the best players in the country since his performance his edged his team to compete for European Football Competition in the next season.
