The chances of Manchester United finishing in the top four of the Premier League were dented after they suffered a 1-0 defeat against struggling Everton at Goodison Park which happened to be an early kick-off of the weekend.
Anthony Gordon’s long-range shot was deflected and De Gea was beaten and nestled into the bottom left corner when the keeper had little to do in the 1-0 loss at Goodison Park.
De Gea labeled the cause of the defeat as the inability to break down Everton’s defense set up in the game and Ralf’s target man was blunt in the game.
In a Post-Match interview after the game, he revealed to MUTV “I feel horrible. I feel very sad, I can imagine how they [the supporters] feel because they come to every game and we hear them always the whole game, it doesn’t matter if we are winning or losing. It’s very tough for them and for us.”
The win was very enormous to Frank Lampard since his side moved four points clear of the relegation zone and the loss is a big blow to Ralf Rangnick’s side who has failed to win for the third consecutive game in all competitions and remain in seventh place in the league table.
