A two-match ban has been smitten on the resolute central defender of The Hunters, Samuel Osei Kuffour for stamping on Franck Etouga Mbella.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko visited Nana Fosu Gyeabuor Park to play Bechem United on a Tuesday which happened to be a week 19 league fixture of the season.
Referee Kennedy Padi and other officials that afternoon failed to caution Samuel Osei Kuffour when he deliberately stamped on Mbella’s shoulder in the 22nd minute of the first half.
Osei Kuffour has been charged with a breach of Article 34(6) (d) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2019, in which the said Article explains that there was an intentional action by Osei Kuffour against Franck Etouga Mbella in an off-ball situation.
The outcome of the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has been announced together with its accompanying sanctions.
In line with GFA code 6.1 (c), the defender who has a fine form in his first Ghana Premier League has to pay a fine of GH¢ 1,000.00 and has been banned for two league games of the season.
The fans of The Hunters will not see their reliable center-back in their away game against Eleven Wonders and the game against Karela United due to the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
