According to Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta Gov’t will ensure adequate preparations for Black Stars.
The government will make sure that the Black Stars are fully equipped for the FIFA World Cup in 2022, according to Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
All interested parties and Ghanaians in general have been reassured by him that the government will use all of its resources to help the senior national football team, the Black Stars, succeed in this year’s FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar.
The finance minister emphasized that the government wanted to help the Black Stars before the World Cup and urged Ghanaians to support their national team without reservation.
On Monday, July 25, he said the words during the 2022 mid-year budget review, after defeating Nigeria in the playoff round, Ghana will return to the world championship later this year.
The Black Stars will play in the World Cup once more if they compete in Qatar after missing the 2018 tournament in Russia, the administration is adamant about getting the Black Stars ready for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar.
“The Black Stars will represent our nation at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November 2022. Government will ensure that adequate preparation is made to facilitate outstanding performance at the tournament, we encourage Ghanaians to continue to remember them in prayer and offer our support.”
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, Stephen Ambrosius, Ransford-Yeboah Koningsdorffer, and several international players will be available for the Black Stars during the competition.
It will be held between November 21 and December18, 2022, during the FIFA World Cup. The Black Stars have been placed in Group H with Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea as their opponents.
