The Black Galaxies face Egyptian giants Al Ahly in a friendly game on December 31 as part of their preparations after a 2-0 win over Egypt’s U20 national team in Cairo.
On December 27, 2022, Legon Cities forward Kofi Kordzi and Dreams FC midfielder Sylvester Simba gave the Black Galaxies a two-goal lead to secure victory in their first friendly game in Cairo as part of their preparations for the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
In order to regain their focus before the competition, the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament, the players from Ghana are currently camped out in Egypt.
The Black Galaxies are now scheduled to test themselves against the most successful football club in Egypt and one of the best in Africa, according to reports gathered by the charitable team of editors at www.atspo.com.
The reports further indicate that the game between the Black Galaxies and Al Ahly of Egypt will be played behind closed doors, as their previous game with the Egypt U-20 side was also played in that same atmosphere at the Cairo International Sports Stadium.
The Black Galaxies of Ghana, after being absent for the last three editions of the competition, will compete in the 7th edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be held from January 13 to February 4, 2023, in Algeria.
The Black Galaxies are in Group C alongside Madagascar, Sudan, and Morocco, where the team is expected to play its first game of the tournament against Madagascar on January 15, 2023, at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui in Constantine, Algeria.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies will play their second group game of the competition on the 19th of January, 2023, and wrap up their last game with the locally based Atlas Lions of Morocco on the 23rd.
The team will play all their group games in Constantine, but if they qualify out of the group, they can play in cities like Baraki, Oran, or Annaba.
