Bechem United’s head coach, Kassim Mingle, believes that their betPawa Premier League match Week 19 clash at Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be decided by luck.
In the current Ghana Premier League, Bechem United is on track to reach its goal, according to head coach Kassim Mingle, despite being five points behind league-leading Aduana Stars.
Kassim Mingle, after defeating Asante Kotoko’s Seydou Zerbo in a match in week 2 of the betPawa Premier League at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem, seeks a double over his Burkinabe opponent on Wednesday afternoon.
Bechem United travel to Kumasi in midweek to face defending champions Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, hoping to win their first game against the Porcupine Warriors since 2012.
The second-placed team, Bechem United, has never won a league game against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium since they gained promotion to top-elite football. They have not scored a goal in their last two visits; they lost by 4:0 on the 7th of April, 2021, and by 2:0 on the 7th of November, 2021.
Kassim Mingle, the NASCO Coach of the Month for January 2023 who has coached Bechem United for 67 games, has confirmed that the team will approach the game as if it were any other and that they are confident of winning.
Kassim Mingle, who has three wins in his last five away games this season, is looking for his next away win after losing to Berekum Chelsea at the Berekum Golden City Park on January 5th, 2023.
In an interview with Joe Debrah on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM Kassim Mingle indicated that his side will embark on a normal game preparation, which will help offload pressure on the team and make them relax in a quest to win.
“We will approach the game normally, like all the games we have played. We don’t want to do any extraordinary preparation that will put pressure on the players. Just a normal preparation so that everybody will relax,” Kassim Mingle told Joe Debrah.
Mingle added, “We are going into the game for the ultimate, and the better side with luck on his side will win the game. As it stands, we are in second place and on track to meet our goal.”
