Ohene Bampoe Brenya, renowned sports journalist and host of Happy FM Sports, thanked Turkish Airlines upon his arrival in Istanbul for the 2023 UEFA Champions League final.
The Ghanaian sports journalist, who is an executive member of Ghana’s Sports Writers Association (SWAG), arrived for the final as a result of a strategic partnership between Turkish Airlines and the organisation.
Mr. Aytekin Serbest, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Ghana, emphasised the importance of sports journalism during the documentation of the strategic partnership on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Mr. Aytekin explained, “As the foremost airline in Europe, we have a responsibility to aid sports journalists, whom we consider strategic partners. In this regard, we feel committed to supporting SWAG for the upcoming UEFA Champions League.”
Before leaving for the trip, Happy FM’s sports host promised his audience that he would bring them exciting reports from the 2023 Champions League final, and he responded positively upon his arrival in Istanbul.
“It’s not going to be just about football; I will capture the essence of the tournament, the local perspective, and weave it all into the coverage. I will also give you unique insights into the architecture, history, and atmosphere of the Ataturk Stadium,” pledged Ohene Bampoe Brenya before the trip.

I promised you we would give you behind-the-scenes exclusives on all our platforms, and thanks to Turkish Airlines, we had an amazing flight from Accra to Istanbul, which I immensely enjoyed. Thanks to Turkish Airlines, and guess what? I am already enjoying Istanbul.”
