The Black Meteors of Ghana arrived in Morocco on Thursday night and trained in Rabat on Friday morning, June 23, 2023, with all 23 players on board.
Kamaldeen Sulemana, Kwadwo Poku Mahala, and Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer are the three foreign-based players who did not make the final trip to Morocco.
The withdrawal of Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ransford Yeboah from the squad has been cited as proof that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) was unable to persuade their clubs to release them for the tournament, which is not sanctioned by FIFA.
The final 23-man squad that had a pre-tournament camping trip in Egypt, playing two friendly games before they arrived in Rabat, has been tabulated below: Danlad Ibrahim (Asante Kotoko), Emmanuel Esso (Legon Cities), Aziz Dari (Bechem United), Dominic Nsobila (Accra Lions), Emmanuel Appau (Gold Stars), Edmund Arko Mensah (FC Honka), Samari Abass (Accra Lions), Godfred Wakii (Aduana Stars), Augustine Randolf (Karela United), Emmanuel Adjei and Hafiz Ibrahim (Attram Di Visser), Aaron Essel (Bechem United), David Oppong (King Faisal), Fatawu Issahaku (Sporting Lisbon), Ernest Nuamah (Nordsjælland), Zubairu Ibrahim (Jedinstvo Ub), Salim Adams (Cincinnati FC), Daniel Afriyie Barnieh (FC Zurich), Jordan Amissah (Sheffield FC), Emmanuel Essiam (FC Basel), Nathaniel Adjei (Hammarby Fotboll), Terry Yegbe (SJK), Emmanuel Yeboah (Cluj FC).
