The first leg of the 2023–2024 CAF Confederation Cup First Round between Dreams FC and Milo FC will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
The General Lansana Conté Stadium in Conakry will host Dreams FC, the winner of Ghana’s MTN FA Cup 2022-2023, as they face their opponents from Guinea.
Dreams FC tactician Abdul Karim Zito has spoken out about the club’s preparations for their match against Milo FC this weekend.
The head coach updated the team’s condition following a series of club-friendly games against FC Samartex, Black Galaxies, and Heart of Lions as part of their preparation for their upcoming debut African Cup campaign.
The Still Believe lads unsettled the Premier League returnees, Heart of Lions, in order to wine up their preparations for the weekend game against the Guineans in Conakry.
Karim Zito, a former Asante Kotoko player, expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparations so far ahead of their Confederations Cup opener against Milo FC in an interview with Kessben FM/TV.
“It’s our last preparatory game (Heart of Lions). We have a day to recover and take off on Thursday. At the moment, I will say everything is fine. We will depart for Guinea on Thursday morning,” Karim Zito revealed, revealing the day Dreams FC will set off for Guinea.
Karim Zito presented a picture of his team and highlighted his observations after three friendly games.
Zito explained, “The performance of my players is not bad; they played to instruction against Heart of Lions. The players were wasteful when we played the Black Galaxies, but today they took their chances against Heart of Lions, which is good for us.”
He was pleased with the team’s performance and stated, “I saw an improved team against Heart of Lions; creativity and the conversion rate were good, so I am okay.”
