Ahmed Touré, the 2010/11 Ghana Premier League Player of the Year and a former forward for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has expressed confidence in Asante Kotoko’s Life Patron, His Royal Majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.

Ahmed Touré, after featuring for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and having stints with Ghanaian clubs like Kumasi King Faisal, Bechem United, and Medeama Sporting Club, has developed a keen interest in attempting to establish the league.
The former Burkinabé professional striker, who won three Ghana Premier League trophies with Asante Kotoko, expressed his sorrow over the sudden death of Francis Frimpong, a devoted supporter of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club, commonly known as ‘Nana Pooley.’

In an interview on KingTom TV, Ahmed expressed how deeply Pooley supports Asante Kotoko, noting he hasn’t encountered a fan like Pooley in his playing career.
Ahmed Touré, feeling downcast, said, “I was very sad, extremely sad, when I heard that Nana Pooley was stabbed. He was my friend, and I watched Kotoko vs. Aduana Stars with Pooley at Nana Agyemang Park, alongside Chairman Solo.”
“Up to date, to be honest, I have not seen a supporter in the shape of Nana Pooley. He supports the team wholeheartedly. What he did for the club in Dormaa made it clear to me that this guy truly loves Asante Kotoko; he is special,” Ahmed Touré stated, emphasizing Pooley’s unique contribution to the club.

Touré, a former ASEC Mimosas striker, expressed confidence that the family of the late Nana Pooley will not be left wondering after his death while performing his supporter duties for the club because the Life Patron has promised to look after the family.
“I thank God because my daddy, His Royal Majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, has promised to take care of Nana Pooley’s family, so I have no problem, and no one has a problem. I am confident that Otumfuor will look after the family up to the end of their lives, thank you very much, Nana,” Touré said of Asante Kotoko’s Life Patron.
