Her Royal Majesty’s passing was confirmed by a statement issued by Buckingham Palace, which said, “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

After hearing of Her Royal Majesty’s passing, Jose Mourinho, who has managed Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspurs, and Manchester United all in the Premier League, did not hold back his sentiments.
Three-time Premier League champion Jose Mourinho was informed of the news last Thursday night at the Huvepharma Arena, where his team, Roma, was playing Bulgarian club Ludogoret in a Europa League match.
After the game, Mourinho paid tribute to Her Royal Majesty, tagging her “a wonderful figure” and he told Sky Italia, “I am so sorry to hear this news. I am not a foreigner in Britain, it is my home, my family’s home, we’ve lived there for many years. She was a wonderful figure. I don’t know anyone who didn’t have respect for her. She was a great lady as well as a Queen.”
In addition to Jose Mourinho, a Portuguese international player Cristiano Ronaldo also sent a heartfelt homage to Her Royal Majesty, in which he said: “Seven years of my career were played in the Premier League, making this my 8th season living in England. The captain of the Three Lions, Harry Kane, used his official Twitter handle to share his condolences with the Royal Family after the demise of the Queen, he stated, “My thoughts are with the Royal Family at this very difficult time. The Queen was an amazing inspiration and will be remembered for her incredible years of service to this country. Rest in peace, Your Majesty.”
The British professional boxer who is a two-time world heavyweight champion, Tyson Luke Fury, updated his Instagram handle to express his emotional feelings towards Queen Elizabeth II, “Thoughts & prayers with my Queen tonight, may God be with you.
