Royal Air Maroc has launched several efforts to help Moroccans fly to and from Qatar to watch the Atlas Lions play in the World Cup.
The astute editors at www.atspo.com have gotten a tip from their Moroccan correspondent, revealing that Rabat’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), will offer nearly 30 Casablanca-Doha flights for fans who want to travel to Qatar to watch the Atlas Lions’ semi-final-match-against-France-on-Wednesday.
Walid Regragui and his team will play in the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar, becoming the first African team to reach that stage of the tournament as well as the first Arabian nation to do so.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco have not conceded a goal in the World Cup knock-out round, drawing 0-0 with Luis Enrique’s Spain and winning by a score of 1-0 to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal in the round of 16 and quarter-finals, respectively.
Royal Air Maroc issued a statement on Monday, December 12, 2022, stating, “Morocco is writing history in Qatar. The exceptional and heroic performance of the national team during the 2022 World Cup will forever be engraved in the memory of Moroccans.”
The company, Royal Air Maroc, emphasising the importance of fan support, stated that its new offer aims to allow many Moroccan supporters to travel to Qatar to cheer on the national team.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Abdelhamid Addou, expressed pride in Morocco’s achievements in the World Cup. He said, “We are proud to be able to accompany this exceptional adventure of the Atlas Lions at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.”
The national carrier will not be hesitant to mobilise its technical and personnel resources in support of the national team, the CEO said.
Additionally, Royal Air Maroc promised a number of conveniences that would allow customers to rearrange their return flights at no additional cost.
